About MTO Group
The origin and essence of our core business is forestry and manufacturing with additional business activities in Agriculture, Biomass and Ecotourism. These business activities depend on that core while also contributing to our success by enabling a totally integrated approach to sustainable land use.
We produce timber from our internationally accredited pine plantations in the Eastern and Western Cape, and Eucalyptus plantations in Mpumalanga. Through our plantations and manufacturing processes we supply a basket of high-quality products which include: Sawlogs; Structural Lumber (treated and untreated); Transmission Poles; CCA and Creosote treated poles; Cross laminated Timber panels for Alternative Building Technology and Biomass from sawmilling and forestry residue.
Expanding beyond our core operations, our ecotourism business presents a captivating range of recreational opportunities within our plantations which include: mountain biking; accommodation; hiking; trail running; bird watching; horse riding and fishing.
