As we continue to honor the remarkable women at MTO Group this Women’s Month 2024, we are proud to introduce our penultimate Woman of the Month, Lydia Daniels!
Lydia has been with MTO for 3 years and has already earned 3 promotions. She started as an invoice clerk, moved up to stock controller and is now thriving as a production coordinator.
Lydia is the first female production coordinator in a male dominant role. She looks after a staff compliment of 7 people who active assist in running the production at MTO Retreat.
Her tasks include the following:
Ensure the smooth running of the treating plants;
Oversee daily production of Azure and CCA treatment;
Ensure compliance and enforcement of health and safety protocols;
Look after logistics and distribution, despatching and receiving of lumber, boards, and poles;
Manage the day-to-day running of the site for any and all issues pertaining to production.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys baking, loves animals, the outdoors and finds peace in nature.
When asked about her outlook on life, Lydia shared, "I am a strong believer in growth, and growth doesn't happen without challenges and lessons. I strive to give the best at all times and always try to assist others where I can."
She said: "It is an honour to be recognised for my achievements in such a great way. It makes me feel proud to be part of the MTO family."
